One of the reasons I #pray is because, I don't trust the world, hack, half the time, I can't trust my own thoughts and decisions! Why do you pray?

I pray to align my heart with the Word and to ask Holy Spirit to search my heart and give me His perspective on whatever I'm facing, whether that is external pressure or internal turmoil. I pray because Jesus set the example and Scripture tells us to intercede. I pray because the conversations with the Lord are the most important ones I can have.

Absolutely, Richard. There's wise counsel in a few trusted friends.

I strive to lift up others, but at times in my own situations get overwhelming. I seek God in those times, and its good to have a trusted friend or two to seek counsel from.
I pray to lift others up who may not know He is there and waiting to help them. Also, I can't carry the burdens alone and knowing He is there to help me means everything and brings me great peace.

I pray mainly because I long to talk to Father God. And then I love it when in his presence he whispers ‘Ask!’

My DAILY PRAYER....inspired by John, the Apostle
I lift up my eyes to heaven and say…..Father, magnify Your presence in and through me, so that I might glorify You.
You have shared Your power and authority through Christ in me, so that I might share in Your eternal life. And this is eternal life….to experience and know You….heart to heart….spirit to spirit.
O Father, although the world has not known You and has failed to recognize and acknowledge You, increase in me the desire to commune with You….continually, helping to keep my heart open and yielded to Yours.
Express Your nature from my very being, so that others will know that it is You who sent me, and that it is Your presence they see and feel.
Help me, Lord, to allow Your forgiveness to flow into every area of my life. that I might come to understand and experience more deeply the power of the Cross.
Inspire others through me…..comfort them, heal them, deliver them, forgive them, and love them as I yield to You.
May my very existence be Your message, Your heart, and Your love. And, may I be so filled and fulfilled in You, that others will desire to live as I live. And finally, Lord, may my joy be complete, just knowing that Yours is fulfilled in them…..flooding their hearts with Your essence, and releasing through them Your Glory.
So be it unto me, Lord. Amen.

I pray....to keep my heart in communion with God's, and to keep my will in agreement with His, as I yield to HIS best, not My idea of best..... in any given situation.
