Daily Devotional

Closing

A billion little starlets decorate the deep blue sky

With billions upon billions further out from where they lie

The broad expanse of heaven stretching out eternally

Inviting yet restrictive of our lost humanity

But those who choose to follow to believe what God has said

Who daily have been faithful to the scriptures they have read

Whose greatest joy is found in knowing Christ their Lord and King

Will know far more of this as well as other wondrous things

For soon the perfect answers to the questions we have asked

Will clearly be presented as we undertake the task

Of studying the Bible with God's Spirit by our side

The One in Whom our Saviour told us we must let inside

As time is quickly closing all the prophesies fulfilled

With little that is lacking til God's people will be sealed

And Satan on his rampage will so fill the hearts of men

That nothing will be left to prove the evilness of sin

And only those who've trusted who alone have chose to hide

Within God's sanctuary where His people will abide

Will find their satisfaction that their faith had hoped to see

When Christ returns in glory to proclaim His victory

That none will think to argue none will chance then to deny

When Christ in heaven's glory will divide the eastern sky

And those who died in Jesus will be raised to life again

No more to fear the raging of the father of all sin

For then as we rise with them who before us laid to rest

We who were true and faithful through the devil's final test

There'll be no bonds to hold us as we rise into the sky

For then with all the angels we will spread our wings and fly

To meet the feet of Jesus to embrace the One we love

Who now is deep in counsel with the Father up above

And making preparation for the moment He receives

Each soul that has been faithful to the Word that he believes

And oh that glorious moment when the faithful realize

That all that they have suffered was well worth that precious Prize

Will know no end forever as forever we will be

At home as one with Jesus throughout all eternity

1 Corinthians 15:39-58
