The Farmer The Baker and The Candlestick Maker

The Farmer the Baker and the Candlestick Maker

Were meeting for afternoon tea

When up spoke the Farmer and said to the Baker

Do you know what just happened to me

The yield that was growing from the seed I was sowing

Brought forth an amazing surprise

When there right before me some weeds that I could see

Had been sown while I rested my eyes

Said the Baker with question to the Candlestick Maker

Do you suppose who might have been

The great source of this mischief a dark hearted culprit

To purvey such a cruel ugly sin Then the Candlestick Maker told the Farmer and Baker

Through the Light of His trade He could see

That the devil's dark minions with the worst of intentions

Had performed this great atrocity

So the Farmer the Baker and the Candlestick Maker

Discussed how to handle this case

To eradicate evil from the hearts of these people

Without losing their sight on God's grace

When the Baker said maybe if the grain that we do see

Could resist til the harvest to come

The great influence of evil from the weedy like people

Then by grace You might harvest the sum

Of the wheat to the Baker to be bread for the Maker

As the weeds become light to the world

Of what happens to people who give way to the evil

When into that oven they're hurled

When all will be finished and the earth be replenished

With the good that will never be marred

As no more will the devil have the power once leveled

On the Baker he once cruelly scarred

For the Farmer the Baker and the Candlestick Maker

Will have finished that great work They'd begun

When the harvest is ended bread baking suspended

And the candlelight shines on God's Son

Matthew 13:24-30
