Privilege
The priv'lege God extends to those who spend each day with Him
Allowing His sweet presence to indwell the hearts of them
Is greater than we comprehend or angels even know
For in that time we spend with Him more like Him we will grow
As in His very image more like Him we're made to be
The image of Almighty God He wants the world to see
Defying explanation as He transforms every soul
Whose greatest hope in time with Him is likeness as their goal
That likeness to the Father as was lived through Christ the Son
Of which He shared and taught us when He said we all are one
One people as one body with one purpose under heav'n
To share the Light of Life with all to whom we have been given
As instruments of holiness as channels of God's love
As testimony to the One God gave us from above
Who daily by example showed us how we need to be
Transformed into His image that the world in us might see
The Standard God expects in those who hope to see His face
Who hope to have Christ's righteousness that only comes through grace
Who daily grow in Jesus' faith that cannot know defeat
But is the Light of Life to all in life we're led to meet
That they too might see Jesus introduced through you and me
And want more of the character He's made in us they see
That's patient under trial faithful in each circumstance
That often claims the souls of those who give the devil glance
Instead of keeping focus on the true and living Way
Allowing Him to guide us in the things we do and say
Wherein alone is power to defeat the enemy
Who daily preys upon us through the things we hear and see
But when we know that privilege as we've been blessed to know
The Father through the Spirit Who directs where we must go
And what we do and say there that reveals His love in us
Then we fulfill His purpose as we're faithful to His trust
As children in that family that will not have an end
Reflective of our Holy God on Whom we do depend
Because each passing hour while still here we choose to be
One body He's ordained by grace for all the world to see
