Fleeting Freedom
How long will we have freedom to believe the way we do
To share this precious message with the people we come to
About our loving Saviour and our home in Paradise
That home for which He paid so much through His great Sacrifice
How long will we have liberty to share His words of truth
To open up the pages we have cherished from our youth
And there receive the Spirit from the Father everyday
That joins us in our study as we meet with Him and pray
For guidance and the sustenance that only He can give
To show us as He dwells in us the way that we must live
If we would know Him purely as it is our gift to do
Through every opportunity that He will bring us to
That quickly is escaping as the devil knows right well
That soon he and his angels will be cast into that hell
God calls the lake of fire where they'll be destroyed at last
Along with all who would not bow to give to God their past
As well as their tomorrow with the moments of today
By spending time together with Him while they stop and pray
For wisdom and efficiency in living out His Word
To all the world around them of the things they have not heard
That hold the keys to heaven our acceptance and our crown
When we believe and share the simple truths that can be found
While we still have the freedom that is here for us today
But will be soon departed as the world takes it away
And prophesies neglected will be seen to be too true
As they reveal probation's close has come the way we knew
That it would come upon us just the way the scriptures said
When judgement meets the living having finished with the dead
So friend don't waste a moment that God gives to you today
Stay with Him in communion as He leads you in the Way
And listen as He shares with you the words He'd have you speak
To those whom you have contact with for whom He also seeks
To give that preparation to be ready when He brings
The time of tribulation that removes those worldly things
That kept us from preparing as He wanted us to be
His channel of compassion that the world needed to see
Proverbs 28; 1 Peter 5:6-11
