I've let God down more than a time or two
Right decisions I had made were very few
He said He forgave me, but I couldn't forgive myself
The book about me, I closed and put up on a shelf
God told me He would restore me from the mess I had made
He went to my shelf and pulled down my book
Then He grinned and said come closer, let's take a look
Then He told me He had a new place for my book to be displayed
Inside was written the words under the blood
My tears kept falling creating a flood
So now when I fail Him and miss the mark
He takes me back to the cross to make a new start
Hallelujah
