Father, I can't do it,
These things I have to face.
I should walk before You,
In Your holiness and grace.
But in this situation,
Holy, I am not,
I can't see through all this fog,
I don't know what You want!
I try so very hard, Lord,
to just do what is right.
I am so tired of begging,
To be rescued from this plight.
Like a child, in deep, deep water,
My plans have fallen through,
Yet, I hang on to them,
They're pulling me down, too!
"CHILD, LOOSE NOW, THOSE PLANS,
AND LET THEM FLOAT ON BY.
I'M THROWING OUT A LIFELINE,
OF NEW PLANS FOR YOU AND I.
DON'T BE AFRAID OF LETTING GO,
TRUST ME AND BE AT PEACE.
YOU SEE MY LIFELINE'S DIFFERENT,
THERE'S NO BUTTON OF RELEASE! "

Thank you. I have my first book of poetry, published called IN THE SHADOW OF A RAINBOW. I have been through a lot of grief, my son had a car accident and lost both feet, portions of both legs and a finger on his left hand. I hadn't thought of it, but as I wrote the book, I was made aware that I grieved my "intact" Son. Then after 18 years of struggle and overcoming so many odds, I grieved again, when God called him home. Those are the kinds of piems in the book. You commented on my style of poetry, and it is truly like you said. He gives. Me a concept and sometimes over a few…
How often we as Christians we find ourselves in these situations Praise be to God for hearing and answering our prayers I love your writing style - you coming before God and Him answering you back
