The believer's authority (1)

Updated: Feb 14, 2020

Friends, I bring you encouragement from Luke 10:17-20:

The disciples who returned after their evangelistic endeavours in the city of Galilee were astonished, "Lord, as we went out preaching the gospel of the kingdom, even the demons were subject to us in your name!"

Beloved, our position in Christ means we have authority in the name of Jesus to trample over serpents and scorpions as we step out in faith and obedience for his kingdom. But this authority is nothing by comparison to the right and privilege we have in calling God our Father and knowing our names are written in heaven.

Lord, thank you for the powerful authority you have given us over all spiritual forces of the enemy against us, in Jesus’ name amen!
