God's abundant power is within every believer. When the Holy Spirit comes upon us in power, we are able to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness to everyone. This gospel is the righteousness of God revealed- It is the power of salvation to all who repent and believe by faith. Then the Holy Spirit continues to sanctify the believer day by day as they journey on to heaven. This is not by human effort but by the grace of God alone, through Christ alone!
The gospel empowers us in mission, to proclaim it so that people are set free from oppression! This is our calling.
So we press on, knowing that this power is not of ourselves but that we as 'vessels' dispense of this power so that through us God can work in hearts for his glory!
Dear Lord, please give me a fresh revelation of your power that is at work in me. Help me to experience this power so I can do great exploits for you, in Jesus' name, amen!
