Crimson in color . . .
perfectly shaped . . .
the tiny bud appears.
everyone wonders . . .
what will unfold . . .
as the dew drops kiss it like tears.
Then the unveiling . . .
what glory to see . . .
with color as deep as a well!
oh the glory . . .
given this Rose . . .
is far more than any could tell.
Bumblebees buzz . . .
Hummingbirds hover . . .
drinking it's nectar so sweet.
returning the favor . . .
the bumblebees carry . . .
it's pollen upon their feet.
Beauty beheld . . .
nature appeased . . .
it is the end of life for the rose,
glory remembered . . .
nevermore seen . . .
as it's petals begin to close.
"How sad," you say "That life so short
and beauty so quickly gone. "
yet purpose accomplished
true glory has finally begun!
This is the reason the rose came to be,
an intricate puzzle piece,
for by His life and death He will bring . . .
one day to His church a release!
