Great was the press of crowd,
Following Jesus that day!
Many sought His healing touch,
Some, Searched for their way!
They parted as a man approached,
Jairus, was his name.
He was a ruler of the synagogue
And everyone knew his fame!
Falling down, at Jesus' feet,
Jairus begged Him, come.
For his little girl, lay dying,
And she was his only one!
Jesus, touched by this man's faith,
Chose to go with him,
As He went, someone reached forth,
To touch His garment's hem!
WHO TOUCHED ME? Jesus asked,
And turned quickly to see,
"Oh dear, "she thought,"I've had it
For, HERE, I shouldn't be! "
She knew, that if she told the truth,
And if that truth, be known,
The man, who walked with Jesus, COULD also HAVE HER STONED!
An issueing of blood she had
And in that day t'was sin,
For her to even be around,
This crowd that she was in!
For twelve years, being outcast
Shouting out "UNCLEAN! "
Spending all her money
Her health and life were lean!
She thought, in the crowd,
"If I could touch His hem,
I know I would be healed,
Not outcast in sin! "
She knew, well, the danger,
That death could be her end!
She was desperate, for without
her health, Death, could be her friend!
She reached out and touched His hem,
Virtue flowing like a flood!
She knew in her heart,
She no longer issued blood!
When Jesus said,"WHO TOUCHED ME? "
She timidly drew near
"I did, Lord, I wanted healed,
In spite of all of my fear! "
"BLESS YOU, WOMAN, FOR YOUR TRUST,
YOUR FAITH, HAS MADE YOU WHOLE!
GO, NOW DAUGHTER, LIVE YOUR LIFE, TO THE FULLEST HERE, BELOW! "
The moral of this rhyme is thus:
No matter what, don't fear!
Come boldly now, to Jesus,
And let Him, draw you near!
Let your faith work for you,
Speak it with your mouth.
Confess your sin, agree with God,
All illness will go out!
Once your chains are loosened,
Stand up and be strong,
God, then, will use you,
To chase away the wrong!

HOPE FOR THE NEW YEAR
HOPE FOR THE NEW YEAR 12/5/93
With the ending of the year, again,
Many face with dread
The starting of the New Year,
Which lies so near ahead!
What will the New Year bring to us???
What will we have to face???
Can we truly trust the Lord . . .
To give us peace and grace???
What if the days ahead are hard,
Just like this year before has been?
Will we be the losers, Lord?
Or will we somehow win????
Dear Lord, we need the answer,
Can we, alone, stand strong,
When all around us, turmoil reigns . . .
And things have gone so wrong???
CHILD, I'VE COME TO ANSWER
THESE QUESTIONS YOU HAVE PLACED!
THOUGH A YEAR IS AT THE END . . .
A NEW, TOGETHER WE SHALL FACE!
LIFT UP YOUR EYES AND LOOK TO ME,
AND YOU SHALL RISE ABOVE . . .
THE THINGS OF DAILY LIFE . .
THAT ROB YOU OF YOUR PEACE AND LOVE!
WHEN YOUR BURDENS' ARE TOO HEAVY,
YOU TRY TO BEAR THEM ALL ALONE . . .
BRING THEM IN AND LEAVE THEM
HERE WITH ME, BEFORE MY THRONE!
REMEMBER I HAVE PAID THE PRICE
AND DIED UPON THAT TREE,
TO LIFT THESE BURDENS FROM YOU . . .
AND SET YOUR SPIRIT SOARING FREE!
IN FACING NOW THE FUTURE,
AND STARTING A BRAND NEW YEAR,
RELEASE THOSE THINGS WHICH BIND YOU,
AND LET ME DISPELL YOUR FEAR!
TRUST ME, CHILD, THERE'S NOTHING,
FOR WHICH I CAN'T ATONE!
I'VE SAID I'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU . . .
YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO WALK ALONE!
AND WITH THE END APPROACHING,
OF NINETEEN NINETY THREE,
WHATEVER BE THE OUTCOME . . .
THAT THIS YEAR HAS MADE YOU SEE,
LOOK UP WITH EYES OF WONDER,
OPEN WIDE YOUR OWN HEARTS DOOR!
STEP FORTH IN FAITH AND HOPE WITH ME,
INTO NINETEEN HUNDRED, AND NINETY FOUR!

Lifeline
LIFELINE
3/3/1993
Father, I can't do it,
These things I have to face.
I should walk before You,
In Your holiness and grace.
But in this situation,
Holy, I am not,
I can't see through all this fog,
I don't know what You want!
I try so very hard, Lord,
to just do what is right.
I am so tired of begging,
To be rescued from this plight.
Like a child, in deep, deep water,
My plans have fallen through,
Yet, I hang on to them,
They're pulling me down, too!
"CHILD, LOOSE NOW, THOSE PLANS,
AND LET THEM FLOAT ON BY.
I'M THROWING OUT A LIFELINE,
OF NEW PLANS FOR YOU AND I.
DON'T BE AFRAID OF LETTING GO,
TRUST ME AND BE AT PEACE.
YOU SEE MY LIFELINE'S DIFFERENT,
THERE'S NO BUTTON OF RELEASE
