Yet it pleased the Lord!

Yet it pleased the Lord,

To bruise His only Begotten Son,

Offering His blood on the Cross

As sin’s infinite atoning Lamb.

Yet it pleased the Lord,

For Jesus to be ‘locked-down’

in stricken and rejected bodily form

To impute righteousness after the fall.

Yet it pleased the Lord,

That His love for the world

would strip Him of His glory

So by faith, Resurrection Life is justified for all.

(Inspired by Isaiah 53, Romans 5:1)
